The Peet’s Difference
At Peet’s, coffee skills and practices are part tradition and part innovation –and that hard work and attention to detail are required to produce quality results. And the results are omnipresent. Afterall, it was Peet’s founder Alfred Peet who mentored the founders of Starbucks on successful roasting, blending and brewing techniques.
Peet’s skillful evaluation and careful selection of coffee beans is crucial to quality. But it is their unique artisan roasting method that gives their coffee its distinctive flavor. Everything is roasted by hand, not by computer. Roasting in small batches, paying close attention to the individual characteristics that each coffee or blend requires, Peet’s roasts all 32 of their coffees every day to the taste, not to color.
