Coffee is among the most consumed beverages in America, with over 80% of us enjoying it on a regular basis, and over half of us drinking it daily. Few of us would consider drinking stagnant or unclean water everyday. Yet we don’t think twice about paying premium price for a cup (or pot) of stale, mediocre coffee.
Traditional large coffee purveyors roast singular batches of coffee by the tons and store it on a lonely warehouse shelf where it sits…..and sits…..for an average of two months, growing stale and losing much of it’s original goodness. It gradually goes from a bold to bland by the time it finally reaches your cup. Since you’re paying for it, shouldn’t you be getting your money’s worth? And if you’re going to consume something regularly, shouldn’t you be sure of its quality?
We Keep it Fresh
Our coffees are roasted fresh to order by local artisan roasters, they are never shelved or warehoused. Never stale and dull. They go straight from the roaster to you, the same day, in quantities measured to last three weeks at the most. After three weeks, oxidation starts to set in (even in sealed, nitrogen flushed bags) and the coffee begins to dry out, removing the vital oils that give it it’s rich flavor. And at the end of it all, you pay the same or less, to get an exceptional cup of coffee, that’s as fresh as it is delicious.
